Option-data update frequency:
According to TradingView's regulations and guidelines, we can update external data a maximum of 5 times per day. We utilize these updates at the most strategic times to provide timely and accurate data:
- ✅ (1st update) 6:50 AM Premarket
- ✅ 2nd update: 9:40-9:50 AM
- ✅ 3rd update: 12:40-12:50
- ✅ 4th update: 2:40-2:50 PM
- ✅ 5th update: 3:40-3:50 PM – EOD
You don’t need to refresh your window; the last refreshed data pack is always automatically applied to your indicator. You can also see the time elapsed since the last update at the bottom of your indicator for better tracking.
PRO Subscribers can also check the GEX levels manually using our Discord BOT slash command, which we refresh every 20 minutes during trading hours—instead of just five times a day!
Yes, we update SPX and /ES 0DTE GEX levels! These updates follow the same rules as the general update intervals, with a maximum of 5 updates per day, as described in our update frequency policy. This ensures that the data remains as fresh and accurate as possible during market hours.
It’s important to note that for cumulative GEX calculations (e.g., NetGEX or Gamma Walls), we exclude the contracts expiring today. Including 0DTE GEX values in the cumulative model would introduce distortions due to their high sensitivity and short time to expiry. Therefore, 0DTE GEX levels are considered separately, and cumulative GEX values disregard contracts that expire on the current day.
Unlike other invite-only indicators available on TradingView (which only use data available on TradingView), our indicators require continuous manual updates for external data processed and displayed for each instrument. This incurs significant ongoing costs, besides paying for the data itself. We cannot provide sustainable service entirely for free, which is why we offer our 'Pro' indicators for a symbolic maintenance fee. The 'Lite' versions remain free for anyone to use for trial purposes, so you can see what you will get in the 'Pro' version if you wish to support our work.
Yes, our options overlay and options screener TradingView toolkit is useful for both beginner and advanced options traders, as the displayed metrics and data are customizable (toggle on/off).
According to feedback from advanced options traders, it significantly shortens the daily search process and can be integrated into their existing system, eliminating the need to manually extract data from the brokerage and apply it to the TradingView chart. You can immediately see the key metrics: IVR, IVX, Delta, Skew.
Of course! Our indicators primarily draw curves for future expirations, overlaying labels, tooltips, and possibly a side mini dashboard to show key metrics like IVR, IVX, Skew. Therefore, they do not interfere with past or current data and indicators.
Absolutely not. There is no indicator, algorithm, system, or strategy that can predict markets with guaranteed accuracy.
We are the first provider of real option indicators for TradingView; however, our tools cannot guarantee profits by just using them blindly.
We do not recommend blindly following any tool. Trading itself is risky, and past performance does not guarantee future results.
No, learning options trading requires significant time and extensive knowledge. However, our options indicator, with its visualization tools, can speed up this process by providing valuable data and metrics related to the options chain while you chart the underlying asset.
If you are a complete beginner, we recommend starting with the TastyTrade's 78-video free series called 'Mike and his whiteboard': watch here. Our Options Toolkit is an excellent complement to this learning process.
We cannot take on the risk of directly or indirectly influencing you in the use of options strategies. Our options toolkit aims to facilitate options charting for traders by providing valuable information on the options chain status with minimal delay during open hours.

There are two reasons for this, and one is beyond our control.
Brokerage Calculation Differences:
Every brokerage has slight differences in how they calculate metrics like IV and
IVX. If you open three windows for TOS, TastyTrade, and IBKR side by side, you will
notice that the values are minimally different. We had to choose a standard, so we
use the formulas and mathematical models described by TastyTrade when analyzing the
options chain and drawing conclusions.
Option-data update frequency:
According to TradingView's regulations and guidelines, we can update external data a
maximum of 5 times per day. We strive to use these updates in the most optimal
way:
- ✅ (1st update) 6:50 AM Premarket
- ✅ 2nd update: 9:40-9:50 AM
- ✅ 3rd update: 12:40-12:50
- ✅ 4th update: 2:40-2:50 PM
- ✅ 5th update: 3:40-3:50 PM – EOD
Since no one has visualized the option chain on TradingView besides us, we are pioneers in this area. Similarly, no one has provided real option data to TradingView yet.
The method of filling gaps using linear interpolation (e.g., missing delta gaps in the option chain to visually determine the exact 16 delta), the probability cloud, the STD1 and Exp.move curves, and the Delta Skew Twist + Delta correlation are all exclusive innovations by Gregory Peter Szilagyi, the founder of TanukiTrade.
The indicator extracts raw options data from an external data provider (OPRA), processes and refines the delayed data package using pineseed, and sends it to TradingView, visualizing the data using specific formulas or interpolated values (e.g., delta distances).
This method of incorporating options data into a visualization framework is unique and entirely innovative on TradingView. The indicator aims to offer a comprehensive view of the current state of options for the implemented instruments, including implied volatility (IV), IV rank (IVR), options skew, and expected market movements, which are objectively measured.
The options metrics we display may be familiar to options traders from various major brokerage platforms such as TastyTrade, IBKR, TOS, Tradier, TD Ameritrade, Schwab, etc.
For /ES, we use derived metrics, which are calculated by mapping the /ES current prices to SPX using AI. This approach leverages SPX, as it represents the largest and most liquid S&P 500 option chain. By aligning /ES futures with SPX, we ensure precise and accurate estimations of GEX levels for futures trading. Please note that this methodology does not rely on the /ES futures option chain itself but on derived calculations from SPX.
