Choose a channel by the question
newbies-n-basics
Ask about setup, controls, metric definitions, or how to read a view.
tech-support
Describe an error or reproducible problem with the tools.
GEX bot channel
Run a slash command. Keep follow-up conversation in the relevant help channel.
trading-floor or a strategy thread
Share the market context and reasoning behind the question.
For a subscription, invoice, or payment issue, use private support chat. Check the relevant pinned posts and FAQ before opening a new question.
Include enough context to investigate
A useful question or bug report
- Tool and view
- WebApp Chart, Table, Matrix, TradingView indicator, or Discord command.
- Selection
- Symbol, exact expiration date, and Standalone or Cumulative.
- Timing
- The data timestamp and timezone, especially when comparing two views.
- What happened
- Expected behavior, actual behavior, and the steps that reproduce it.
- Useful evidence
- A relevant screenshot or the exact error text, with private details hidden.
For a bot issue, include the selected command and its fields. For a difference in levels, compare matching symbols, expirations, aggregation modes, and snapshot times before concluding that one view is incorrect.
Keep the discussion easy to follow
- Keep one issue together. Add new details to the existing thread rather than posting the same question across channels.
- Explain your reasoning. A chart with its date, scope, and a focused question is more useful than a ticker alone.
- Review the full sequence. In strategy discussions, read the original post and later updates before replying.
- Close the loop. If a suggestion resolves the issue, share what worked so the thread helps the next reader.
Share the chart, protect the account
Hide account numbers, emails, balances, payment details, API keys, and login codes. Keep the analytical labels and timestamps needed to understand the question. Use private support for account-specific evidence.
Respect the community’s purpose
- Use English for the main discussion so members can follow and help.
- Respect bot rate limits and wait when a request is already processing.
- Discuss decisions and methods without presenting member posts as signals to copy.
- Do not promote paid services or redistribute member-only content in breach of the server rules.
